Summary

  • I am a double board certified ophthalmologist, and neuromusculoskeletal medicine pain specialist, and board eligible in integrative medicine. I'm also a Doctor of Pharmacy with interest in botanical medicine, herbs and oils. I love to get people out of pain quickly, so they can return to doing the things they love to do with ease and joy. Also for those not in pain, and who want to look and feel years younger, I love to create radiant, natural beauty through the use of cosmetic lasers.

We now have the tools to have it all in this age of medicine. Together, preventive medicine can protect the body as we age gracefully, nutritionally support it with supplements, and use detoxification profiling to improve longevity. I believe in using adjunctive quantum spa medicine methods.

I trained at Midwestern University (MWU), Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, and was an undergraduate OMM Fellow. I completed my Internal Medicine internship at MWU with rotations to Michael Reese and Rush Hospitals and completed my ophthalmology residency at Olympia Fields Medical Center (MWU). I went on to complete my oculoplastics surgery fellowships at Jules Stein/UCLA and Medical College of Wisconsin Froedert Eye Institute in Orbital Surgery, and Trauma fellowship at the Chicago Eye Institute, Advocate-Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where I run the Cosmetic Laser Clinic.

My interest lie in research, studying and writing about the psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) of pain, or somatic dysfunction and how quickly it can be relieved with osteopathic manipulation. I've presented papers, wrote journal articles, abstracts, chapters on this. I also enjoy the enhancing beauty aspects of oculoplastics, and have done research, written chapters as well on clinical topics, and enjoy creating natural beauty through the use of top-of-the-line lasers to rejuvenate skin, the collagen matrix, reduce pore size, and minimize wrinkling and help tighten skin around the jowls and neck without surgery.
