Dr. James Thompson is an addiction medicine physician in Glen Allen, VA. He received his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, trained in Internal Medicine and went on to specialize in addiction medicine. He was certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine in 2012 and was named a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine the next year. In 2016, he co-founded what is now the Master Center for Addiction Medicine. He is the current serving as president of the Virginia chapter of ASAM.
