Summary
- I have held multiple senior administrative positions in academia but the most rewarding has been as a Branch Chief and Associate Director at NIH/NCI in the Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis. My real interest is in imaging drug development as an in vivo biomarker. The NIH is unlike anywhere I have worked in nearly 50 year of practice - the mission is clear and the leadership world class and most importantly the team camaraderie to accomplish a goal is what I dreamed of as an early academic. Drawing out ideas on napkins over coffee with world class researchers is still alive and critical to our future.
