James Stockman III, MD, is a Pediatric Hematology & Oncology specialist based in Chapel Hill, NC. He completed his medical education at Sidney Kimmel Medical College and pursued a residency and chief residency in Pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at SUNY Upstate Medical University. Dr. Stockman has authored more than 40 books and over 200 publications, including works in Pediatric Clinics of North America and The Journal of Pediatrics. His contributions to pediatric workforce data have been notably cited. He is recognized in the "Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare" by Marquis Who's Who. He is the former Chair of Pediatrics, Northwestern University Medical School, Physician in Chief Lurie Children's Hospital, Chicago IL, and President and CEO of the American Board of Pediatrics, Chapel Hill NC (1992-2013).
