- I continue to practice emergency medicine in multiple hospitals in San Antonio and Houston Texas since 1989 after practicing emergency medicine in Birmingham Alabama previously. I founded TeleMed, Inc. in 1991 producing medical software for EMR, CPOE, and patient tracking and have a number of patents related to the software development. I have maintained board certification in emergency medicine through ABEM. Although I briefly practiced in freestanding emergency centers, I prefer practice in hospital-based emergency centers.
