Summary

I am a board certified rheumatologist with special expertise in ocular inflammatory diseases. I was affiliated with Oregon Health & Science University from 1985 to 2022 including roles as Professor of Ophthalmology, Medicine, and Cell Biology; founder of the uveitis clinic; and chair of rheumatology. I was senior vice-president for research at Corvus Pharmaceuticals from 2022 to 2025. Currently I see patients one half day per week at Legacy Devers Eye Clinic in Portland, OR, co-chair studies on retinal vasculitis for the International Uveitis Study Group, and chair the Medical and Scientific Advisory Board for the Spondylitis Association of America.
