Summary
- I am the founder of the Norman Parathyroid Center, the world's leading parathyroid treatment center performing over 4000 parathyroid operations annually. Our unique 2-surgeon-4-gland mini operation has long-term cure rates over 99.5%, while typically taking less than 20 minutes; home in under 2 hours. We perform about 10% of all parathyroid surgery in the US annually, more than the top 20 universities combined. More than 40% of our patients have complex parathyroid disease due to failed surgery at another center or due to combined thyroid disease. We operate on patients over 80 years old virtually daily--of the 16 or so parathyroid operations we perform daily. We welcome any physician calls and are always happy to help.
