Summary
- I provide consultation, leadership and expertise to clients, collaborators and communities in multiple sectors involved in clinical health care and public health practice and management. This work supports healthcare, community health, population medicine and public health practitioners and private and public health organizations and agencies in Oregon, Washington, and globally. I provide practical and innovative approaches and solutions using actionable evidence to assist clients, collaborators, and communities with practice- and community-level improvement efforts, care coordination and other health and public health reform initiatives. I assist and mentor clients to reach their goals to improve the health, healthcare and wellbeing of people and diverse communities. I rigorously apply the science of epidemiology and research; my 40+ years of experience, judgement and expertise critically reviewing and interpreting the literature and leading and advising health organizations; and my practical clinical, collaborative and team experiences and skills working with and passionately engaging professionals, community-members and patients with diverse expertise and life experiences. I offer a broad range of services focused on five major areas of emphasis to:
1) Measuring, interpreting health outcome surveillance/care process data for action;
2) Facilitating evidence-informed quality improvement initiatives;
3) Conducting actionable research, evaluation, and comparative effectiveness studies of public health, healthcare practices, benchmarks and outcomes;
4) Providing clinical care, clinic workflow/organizational management, leadership and community and patient engagement;
5) Serving as subject area expert/advocate providing health and public health consultation on evidence-based policy development and policy analyses for policy maker and legislative decision making to improve/project the health and wellbeing of people and communities.
