- James (Jim) DuCanto, M.D. is an Anesthesiologist in private practice for the past 23 years in Wisconsin who is, for lack of a better description, is obsessed with airway management innovation and teaching.
His recent innovations include the SALAD technique and Simulation System for airway decontamination, the SEADUC, a portable manual suction solution for both hospital and prehospital applications and the SSCOR DuCanto Suction Catheter, a large bore hyper curved rigid suction catheter intended for routine and Emergency Airway Management.
Jim teaches airway management practice and procedures both clinically as well as in simulation for a wide range of caregivers, from respiratory therapists and paramedics to physicians. In addition to his clinical practice, he serves as a consultant to multiple medical device companies, and recently accepted the role of Medical Director of the Mid-State Technical College EMS Program.
