Summary
- I am currently a double board certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon as well as partner at Otolaryngology Associates, PC based out of Fairfax, Virginia. I completed residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and then my American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship is under the mentorship of Jeffrey Spiegel, MD. I am currently affiliated with INOVA Fairfax Hospital and Fairfax Surgical Center and previously affiliated with Boston University, Boston Medical Center, and The Spiegel Center (Newton, MA). My training included Boston Medical Center, New England’s largest trauma center, Lahey Clinic, Boston Children’s Hospital and the VA Boston Healthcare system. Prior to residency, I received my M.D. from Stanford University School of Medicine with a concentration in Bioengineering including completion of Stanford’s Biodesign program. I received a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Biochemistry from the College of William and Mary. My research interests include the development and implementation of mobile educational technology, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and gender affirming facial surgery.
Concurrent with my surgical career, I am a Co-Founder of Doc Odds LLC which is a web-based company aimed to help U.S. and international medical students improve their chances of matching into their preferred medical or surgical specialty. Our evidence based and high-level statistical analyses give our users the edge to plan, and improve their chances of matching into residency. The commercial interface of Doc Odds LLC has been suspended due to the conversion of the USMLE Step 1 to a pass/fail model. Future availability of Doc Odds continues to be assessed on an on-going basis.
