• I am a PA in Family Medicine and I have been seeing patients here in San Diego since 2015. I concurrently work for Sharp Healthcare where I provide clinical input for their electronic medical record, specifically focused on ambulatory care.
  
  As a Physician Assistant, I:
  Perform detailed & problem focused medical histories for both acute complaints & comprehensive physicals.
  Work independently in managing acute & chronic illnesses.
  Routinely perform procedures such as abscess/epidermal inclusion cyst I&D, nail removal, skin tag removal, dermatologic cryotherapy, wound care, foreign body removal, ganglion cyst drainage, & knee/shoulder joint injections.
  Provide hospital admission & ER/urgent care follow up, work/sports physical exams, & specialty referrals.
  Precept PA, pre-PA & medical students, teach clinical practicum, provide evaluation & student recommendations.
  
  As a Clinical Informatics Specialist, I:
  Work with a team of physicians, nurses, & system analysts to provide clinical input for Epic, Cerner & Allscripts Touchworks electronic medical records..
  Analyze physician utilization of medications, labs, radiology, & referrals to determine best practices.
  Develop clinically efficient workflows for primary care & multiple specialties.
  Determine health maintenance standards based on CDC, AHA, USPTF & Sharp Healthcare standards to provide physicians with trusted resources to treat patients.
  Meet with providers, observe their use of the EMR & optimize both provider usage & improve EMR based on feedback.
