- I received my medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine here in Columbia, SC, after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The Citadel in Charleston. I completed a residency and internship in internal medicine at University of Virginia Health Sciences Center, where I completed fellowships in both cardiology (as the Chief Cardiology Fellow) and interventional cardiology. I am board certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine. I focus on prevention as well as coronary intervention and valvular heart disease including transcatheter aortic valve replacement(TAVR). I currently serve as the President of the Providence heart and vascular institute.
