Summary
- Dr. Ingrid Loma-Miller serves as Assistant Division Chief at the Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Center at Magee Hospital UPMC, Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee in the Department of Neurology and Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh. She specializes in Pediatric and Adult Multiple Sclerosis and other neuroimmune disorders. She is the principal investigator of several clinical trials for MS and Neuromyelitis Optica Syndrome.
Dr. Loma-Miller served as Chairman of the Health Provider Council of the Virginia/West Virginia/Maryland & DC Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Executive Board Member of the Virginia Neurology Society. Currently, she is part of the National Medical Advisory Board of the National MS Society and the Board of the Pennsylvania Neurology Society.
Passionate about education, Dr. Loma-Miller founded and directed three Mid-Atlantic MS symposiums and is committed to patient and peer education in neuroimmunology. Her research interests include neuroimmunological disorders and pregnancy. She is fluent in Spanish. As Chair of the Neurology Department’s DEI committee, her goals include developing programs to address issues of unconscious bias in health care, increasing research opportunities for minorities and creating growth opportunities for residents and faculty.
