Overview of Dr. Khan
Imad S. Khan, MD, MPH is an assistant professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington. He is a neurosurgeon specializing in complex spine surgery with a focus on minimally invasive techniques. His primary clinical focus is on the surgical treatment of degenerative, traumatic, infectious, and neoplastic spinal disorders.
Dr. Khan received his medical degree from the Aga Khan University in Pakistan. He subsequently pursued research fellowships at LSU Shreveport, Vanderbilt University and Dartmouth College before completing a neurosurgery residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Dr. Khan completed a complex and minimally invasive spine surgery fellowship at the University of Washington. He also obtained a master’s degree in public health from The Dartmouth Institute.
Dr. Khan’s clinical research interests include clinal outcomes after surgery, healthcare disparities, variation in care, healthcare utilization and policy. He is also involved in translational research investigating spinal cord injury and chronic back pain.
