Dr. Lim received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry with a concentration in biomedicine from New York University Tandon School of Engineering in 2005. He graduated from the New York University School of Medicine in 2010. After completing an internship in internal medicine at the New York University Langone Medical Center in 2011, Dr. Lim completed a residency in dermatology at the University of Rochester Medical Center from 2011 to 2014. He was board certified by the American Board of Dermatology in 2014. Dr. Lim was faculty at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine Department of Dermatology from 2014 to 2017. Before starting the Institute of Dermatology and Oculoplastic Surgery Dr. Lim worked as an assistant professor at the Yale School of Medicine Department of Dermatology for 4 years. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons(ASDS), American Society for Mohs Surgery (ASMS) as well as the International Peeling Society (IPS). Dr. Lim has co-authored several book chapters as well as articles in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD) and the Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (JEADV).
His interests include but are not limited to skin cancer (including surgical procedures), precancer, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis/eczema, acne, rosacea, melasma, vitiligo, warts, and complex medical dermatology. His other interests include cosmetic dermatology including Botox injections, chemical peels, and laser procedures. Dr. Lim enjoys living in Sarasota with his wife and children. In addition to English, doctor Lim speaks Russian, Spanish, Portuguese and Hebrew.
