Ian Leibowitz, M.D. is currently Chief of Gastroenterology at Children's National Medical Center. He also serves as chief of Gastroenterology for Pediatric Specialists of Virginia and Fairfax Hospital for Children. Dr. Leibowitz is on the board of the Physicians Health Network and Children's National and serves on leadership committees for NASPGHAN and ImproveCareNow.

Through his work as a highly accomplished Pediatric Gastroenterologist and his proactive approach to induce remissions for those living with Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis, Dr. Leibowitz will lead a team of nationally recognized educators, research leaders and specialists to transform clinical care for children by enhancing the patient experience within this division.
