  • For more than 25 years, Dr. Ian B. Lawson has been an orthopedic surgeon with board certifications in both the United States and Canada. A resident of Gig Harbor, Washington, he currently serves as medical director of a health care organization. Earlier in his career, Ian B. Lawson, MD, performed wrist, hand, and elbow surgeries with Mountain Orthopedic Specialists, Allenmore Hospital, and Tacoma General Hospital.

    In addition to his surgical career, Dr. Lawson has held teaching positions at various institutions. For 8 years, he served as an instructor, lecturer, and resident preceptor at the University of Washington-affiliated Tacoma Family Medicine Program. He also served as a clinical instructor in the family nurse practitioner program at Pacific Lutheran University and has presented at meetings of the Canadian Orthopaedic Residents Association.

    An active member of his community, Ian Lawson, MD, supports the YMCA and attends a local Presbyterian church. A board member with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, he is also a certified scuba diver.
