Summary
- I am an internist whose key focus is in preventing or delaying the effects of macro vascular disease (heart attacks, strokes etc). As all internists, we have a growing population of patients with diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension and obesity. Some of these persons also smoke. For YEARs I have tried to work creatively with our patients to prevent bad outcomes. In November of 2013 we started doing bike stress testing in our clinic. Please see website for more descriptives. This, along with our use of advanced lipid evaluation and treatment, has made the most profound difference in getting patients involved in keeping themselves healthy…or working toward achieving health.. pursuing prevention. I call this: Interactive Health Care.
