  • Dr. Hossein Jadvar is a tenured professor of Radiology with joint appointments in Radiation Oncology, Urology, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA. He is a full member of the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. He received his MD degree from University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and has been in practice 25 years. He also has a PhD in bioengineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, a MPH degree from Harvard University, an Executive MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business, and a MSL degree from the USC Gould School of Law. He completed his internship in internal medicine at UCSF, the residency training in diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine at Stanford University, and fellowship training in nuclear oncology at the Harvard Medical School Joint Program in Nuclear Medicine. He is experienced in positron emission tomography, nuclear radiology, advanced cardiac imaging, and molecular imaging. He has been an NIH funded investigator and serves on the NIH, DOD, DOE, and CPRIT review panels. He is the Associate Editor for the Journal of Nuclear Medicine and the European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, Deputy Editor for Clinical Nuclear Medicine, and Consultant to the Editor for Radiology. He is the Chair of the Advisory Committee on the Medical Uses of Isotopes (ACMUI) of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and a Director in the American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM). He has written 267 peer-reviewed journal articles, published 4 books, 41 book chapters, 9 U.S. and European patents, numerous conference abstracts and full articles, and has had 350 invited lecturer and visiting professorships at numerous national and international venues. His research interests include translational molecular imaging research with interest in prostate cancer, theranostics, and radiopharmaceutical therapy.
