• Dr. Hoonbae Jeon is a transplant surgeon in New Orleans, LA. He received his medical degree from Korea University College of Medicine and finished his surgical training at Asan Medical Center, Seoul, Korea and Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY. He has been in practice at University of Kentucky, University of Illinois and Tulane University since 2003. He specializes in complex hepatobiliary surgery and transplantation and is experienced in transplantation of liver, kidney and pancreas. His main interest and academic focus have been on partial (living donor / split) liver transplantation. He is currently professor and chief of division of transplant surgery at Tulane University.
