- Dr. Khorasani is one of the most experienced, innovative skin cancer and cosmetic surgeons of his time. He is quadruple board-certified in dermatology, cosmetic surgery, facial cosmetic surgery, and Mohs micrographic surgery. He personally trained many of today’s top surgeons as the longest-tenured Chief of Dermatologic and Cosmetic Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Dr. Khorasani served as the Director of Mohs and Cosmetic Surgery fellowship programs at Mount Sinai for a decade, and co-founded the Tisch Skin Cancer Institute. He is currently an Associate Clinical Professor at NYU in New York City where is volunteers his time to teach Dermatologic Surgery to the residents.
Having performed more than 20,000 skin cancer
surgeries and 21,000 aesthetic procedures, Dr. Khorasani is one of the foremost experts in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. He possesses a deep understanding of the complexities involved in planning the removal of skin cancer while prioritizing optimal aesthetic outcomes.
Dr. Khorasani is amongst the most published professionals in dermatologic and cosmetic surgery, having contributed to some of the most meaningful clinical trials in skin cancer and aesthetic surgery over the last decade. He has authored over 50 peer reviewed publications and is the editor of “Surgical Lifting,” part of the renowned series entitled Procedures in Cosmetic Dermatology (in press). The book is a culmination of his experience performing surgical facial rejuvenation, including chapters on eyelid surgery authored by Dr. Khorasani.
