- Henry D. Cremisi, MD, is Medical Director of Nephrology and Dialysis as well as Clinical Research for Appalachian Regional Healthcare System. Dr. Cremisi remains active in both industry and physician initiated clinical trials across a number of domains as well as participating as an active member of Nephronet. He previously served as Chairman of Medical Education and a Nephrologist and Hospitalist for Novant Health in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is ABIM certified in both Nephrology and Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is actively engaged in Clinical Research having served as Medical Director of Morley Research Consortium in Atlanta as well as the Chairman of Opus IRB. He has previously served as Chairman of Nephrology and Dialysis, and Medical Director of Clinical Nutrition at Novant Health in Charlotte, North Carolina.. From 1995 to 2009, Dr Cremisi was Medical Director of Clinical Research, Nephrologist/Principal Investigator and Managing Partner at Southeast Renal Associates in Charlotte.
After receiving his MD from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, he completed his medical residency and nephrology fellowships at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
In addition to presentations at local hospitals and medical societies, Dr Cremisi’s abstracts have been featured at meetings of the European Society of Nephrology and American Society of Transplant Physicians. He has been published in such journals as the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (2008). His professional memberships include the American Society of Nephrology, American College of Physicians, and North Carolina.
