He received his medical degree from Keck School of Medicine of USC, Completed Cardiothoracic Surgery training at UCLA. After UCLA Dr. Soukiasian went to the University of Pittsburgh (UPMC) to complete a minimally invasive thoracic surgery fellowship focusing on esophageal surgery, following this he went to Cedars-Sinai to complete another minimally invasive thoracic surgery fellowship focusing on lung surgery. He stayed on at Cedars as the first faculty thoracic surgeon at Cedars-Sinai and has continued his career at Cedars since then and has been in practice 19 years. He specializes in robotic minimally invasive thoracic surgery, thoracic surgical oncology, mediastinal disease, as well as malignant and benign esophageal disease.
