He graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine in 1982, completed his residency in Pediatrics in 1985, and fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine in 1987, all at Tulane. He joined Ochsner Clinic following his fellowship as a staff neonatologist and following board certification was promoted to Section Head of Neonatology and Medical Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Ginsberg was responsible for the creation of Louisiana's first Donor Human Milk Depot in 2015 and founded Mothers' Milk Bank of Louisiana three years later. He concluded his practice of clinical neonatology in 2024 and currently provides Medical Directorship to Mothers' Milk Bank of Louisiana. He serves on the Standards Committee for the Human Milk Banking Association of North America. Dr. Ginsberg has authored multiple articles and has been published in the New England Journal of Medicine, Pediatrics and the Ochsner Medical Journal. He is a Fellow (FAAP) of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
