Dr. Haresh Kathard is an emergency medicine specialist based in Roxboro, NC. He completed his residency in family medicine at Eastern Maine Medical Center from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, he interned in internal medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University from 1999 to 2000. He graduated from B.J. Medical College - University of Pune in 1990. Additionally, he earned diplomas in Emergency Medicine and Anesthesia from the College of Medicine in South Africa, as well as MD Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine in the USA.
He served a total of 17 years as the Emergency Department Director at multiple sites from 2002 to present. Recently 9 years at Novant Health and another 4 years at Roxboro.
Currently he is associate faculty at UNC Chatham and precepts Duke residents at the Veterans Health Administration. Additionally he served as an Emergency Medicine examiner and reviews medical cases for the North Carolina Medical Board.
