Summary
- Gregory Gabrellas completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Chicago, and his medical training at Drexel University. He obtained his psychiatry residency training at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and is receiving his sub-specialty training in child and adolescent psychiatry at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital affiliated with Weill Cornell and Columbia University. He is Board Certified in Psychiatry, and provides psychotherapy and pharmacological treatment for individuals, couples, and families. He is a student of child and adolescent psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research, and a corresponding member of the New Center for Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles after completing its program in adult psychoanalytic psychotherapy. While in training he contributes to research and teaching on the history of psychiatry and social policies for public mental health. He served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Committee of Interns and Residents, the largest association of graduate medical trainees in the nation, and is an active member of the Society for Psychoanalytic Inquiry and American Psychiatric Association.
