I am the Medical Director of the Correctional Health Services (CHS) of Miami-Dade County. CHS is part of The Jackson Health System. The system owns the largest hospital in the United States (Jackson Memorial Hospital) where I had previously worked as an Attending Physician in Emergency Medicine.
Before relocating to the United States, I was a Consultant in Emergency Medicine in the UK. In the UK, the title "Consultant" is reserved for specialist physicians at the “most senior level of clinical and administrative practice”.
In my thirty years as a physician, I have led in all aspects of healthcare and hospital work. These include clinical, administrative and educational.
I have extensive knowledge of IT systems management and deployment. This is partly due to a keen interest in computers. In addition, I've had formal training in Microsoft Networks & Systems and I've previously been a Systems Engineer in the I.T department of Whipps Cross Hospital, London.
