Summary
- Dr. Kim is a general surgeon with fellowship-training in laparoscopic surgery. When possible, Dr. Kim employs a minimally-invasive approach to abdominal operations to reduce pain and scars. Dr. Kim also has a special interest in global missions and international health and has traveled to Peru, Ecuador, Liberia, and Nigeria to perform surgeries. In 2010, Dr. Kim founded the Surgical Mission Fund to help fund resident participation on surgical missions trips. Dr. Kim joined the faculty at Michigan Medicine in January 2019 as the Director of General Surgery at the Brighton Center for Specialty Care.
