Summary
- Dr. Giuseppe Militello is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist. His clinical practice includes medical, surgical, pediatric and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Militello received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, where he graduated with honors, and his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was inducted early into the AOA National Medical Honor Society. He completed his dermatology residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, where in his last year of residency served as chief resident.
After residency, Dr. Militello joined the faculty of Columbia University as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dermatology in the Department of Dermatology. During his time at Columbia, he founded and directed the Occupational Dermatology and Contact Dermatitis Unit. He also taught residents in clinic and directed the Organ Transplant clinic, which specialized in treating skin disease in organ transplant recipients. To further expand his expertise in skin disease, Dr. Militello then completed a dermatopathology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Militello is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Dermatology and Pathology. He is a Clinical Instructor in Dermatology at the Mount Sinai School Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of both the American Contact Dermatitis Society and American Society of Dermatopathology. He has also served on the board of directors of the Greater New York Dermatologic Society. Dr. Militello has given several talks at national meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Contact Dermatitis Society. Additionally, he is extensively published in the field of occupational dermatology and contact dermatitis in peer-reviewed journals and has written chapters in various textbooks.
