Dr. Gitanjali Srivastava is an adult and pediatric obesity medicine specialist, based in Nashville, TN. She completed her medical education at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, graduating in 2003, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from 2003 to 2007. She completed her Fellowship in Obesity Medicine & Clinical Nutrition from Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital in 2011-2013. Currently, she serves as the Medical Director at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, a position she has held since 2019. Her recent publications include studies on patient portal engagement and weight loss outcomes, weight maintenance on anti-obesity medications, and considerations for pediatric obesity pharmacotherapy clinical trials.
