He also holds an MPH (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of North Florida. With considerable expertise in areas such as general gastroenterology, abdominal pain, hepatology, pancreatitis, abdominal fluid collection, GERD, gastroparesis and obesity. Dr. Hammoud has contributed to the academic field through numerous publications and book chapters. His accolades include the Curriculum Board Citation of Merit Award, induction into Alpha Omega Alpha, the Order of Socrates II, and multiple best teacher educator awards from the University of Missouri School of Medicine.
