Summary
- I was raised in Midland, Texas and attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX receiving dual undergraduate degrees in Biology and Chemistry. I soon entered the United States Army Reserve in 1994 while pursuing my medical education and received my Doctor of Medicine at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas in 1998. Upon graduation from TTUHSC I entered Active Duty service in the U.S. Army during which i completed my Emergency Medicine Residency at Darnall Army Medical Center at Ft. Hood, Texas and went on to serve overseas in Germany, Kosovo, and Iraq.
Upon return, I completed my MBA at Texas Tech University with a focus on health care management. I am a practicing emergency medicine physician at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center in Austin, Texas for ESP as well as an active partner in Vital Care Urgent Care in Midland, Texas.
I currently stay busy managing several businesses which include Texas Jurisprudence Prep and Designated Doctor Outsourcing for the State of Texas, which is a groundbreaking software to enhance medical reporting in the care of injured employees.
I currently serves actively as a Commander in the US Navy Reserve as part of 4th Medical Battalion in San Diego, California with military deployments to Kandahar Afghanistan and Al Asad Iraq. I was recently appointed the Emergency Medicine Specialty Leader for the Navy Reserves.
