• Dr. Georges Hajj is an Assistant Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Kansas, and an Interventional, Structural and Vascular Cardiologist at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
  He is currently board certified in Internal Medicine, General and Interventional Cardiology, Vascular Medicine, Endo-vascular Medicine, Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (CCT), Vascular Interpretation (RPVI), and Cardiac Devices (CCDS).
  He received national recognition from many professional societies for his leadership roles and has been awarded as Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), Fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA), Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI), Fellow of the Society for Vascular Medicine (FSVM), Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography (FASE), Fellow of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (FASNC), Fellow of the International College of Angiology (FICA), Fellow of the American Society of Angiology (FASA), and Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).
  In 2014, Dr. Hajj was recruited to UnityPoint Health – Heart and Vascular Institute at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA, where he was the Medical Director of the Structural Heart Disease Program and Assistant Chair of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine until 2020. During that time, he was a pioneer of complex and high-risk cardiac and vascular procedures. Under his leadership, he introduced many new procedures to the Cedar Rapids region and the state of Iowa, including Impella assisted complex coronary intervention, balloon aortic valvuloplasty for severe aortic stenosis, percutaneous closure of severe perivalvular regurgitation of prosthetic aortic valve, VenaSeal procedure for incompetent saphenous veins, intra-coronary laser atherectomy, Trans-catheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and MitraClip procedure.
