Summary

  • I am a fellowship trained and dual-boarded primary care sports medicine physician specializing in nonoperative orthopedics, orthobiologics, musculoskeletal ultrasonography, and image guided intervention. My practice combines advanced medical management and diagnostic imaging with integrative therapies including medical acupuncture and osteopathic manual therapy in effort to achieve the least invasive and quickest return to activity and sport. My main practice is currently located at Scott Air Force Base where I have built a cooperative sports medicine clinic along side our physical therapist, orthopedic mid-level, and chiropractor. We worked diligently toward improving reconditioning, rehabilitation, and safe return to duty of our active duty service members.

Over the last 2 years I have served as a full-time faculty member for the joint Scott Air Force Base and southwestern Illinois division of the St. Louis University family medicine residency. At that residency I have managed orthopedic and sports medicine curriculum, supervised the primary care sports medicine training track and advise multiple residents. Within the local community I provide medical and event coverage for the 1000 athletes at O'Fallon Township High School and 120 athletes studying at the Southwestern Illinois Community College.

In effort to maintain my acute medical skills outside sports medicine I regularly support two emergency departments located and Vandalia and Red Bud Illinois. My inpatient management has been maintained while stationed at Scott Air Force Base due to the requirements of the family medicine residency. 10-13 weeks a the year provide inpatient supervision for the hospital service and managed by the residency program.
