  • Geoffrey Cundiff, MD, is a gynecology specialist based in Vancouver, BC Canada, with subspecialties in urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery. He completed his medical education at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, followed by a residency in obstetrics and gynecology and fellowships in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at Greater Baltimore Medical Center and Duke University Hospital. He is also a Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the University of British Columbia, where he is an avid teacher, especially dedicated to surgical education, including coaching for postgraduate learners and practicing physicians. He is a research scientist at the Centre for Advancing Health Outcomes and the Women’s Health Research Institute with research interests focused on pelvic floor disorders, surgical education, preventing obstetrical trauma, and patient reported outcomes. He is is a longstanding contributor to the medical literature with more than 15,000 citations, 6 books, and more than 200 peer reviewed publications, and has led many multi-centered randomized trials. Recently, he cofounded a medical device startup, Amara Therapeutics, to develop digital treatments for pelvic floor disorders.
