- Dr. Gennaro Giustino is a structural interventional cardiologist at the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute, Atlantic Health System. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency, Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at The Mount Sinai Hospital - Icahn School of Medicine in New York, during which he served as Chief Fellow under Dr Valentin Fuster. Then, he went to complete an advanced fellowship in Structural Heart Disease and Mechanical Cardiocirculatory Support at Henry Ford Heart and Vascular Institute under Dr William O'Neill. He has published more than 300 peer-reviewed manuscripts and abstracts in cardiovascular medicine. In addition, he has participated in the inception, design and conduction of multiple randomized controlled trials and registries resulting in publications in the most prestigious journals including The New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC) and Circulation. He is also routinely invited as a faculty at international conferences and as a peer-reviewer for leading scientific journals. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography and Cardiac Computed Tomography. He also speaks multiple languages, including Spanish, Italian, and French.
