Summary
- I am an internist who has worked as a Hospitalist, outpatient, and in management. I have been in a core faculty position and left that to seek work as a Hospitalist. I enjoy Hospital Medicine and I want to resume doing this. I have served on many hospital committees and have accomplished much while serving on these committees. Once a consensus decision has been made I jump into working on the project and presenting it to the committee for modifications and voting. This has led to getting projects done more quickly. My leadership and work style has been collaborative and team oriented. I think this is relevant to working in a non leadership position because we all lead by the example we set in our work and interaction with the whole team. I do need to learn the EMR being used because I do not know all the EMR systems in use. No one I know does and almost all require training. I have worked in midsized to larger hospitals with closed MICUs and so I haven’t done procedures in several years. I am ABIM board certified and have my BLS and ACLS certifications and will renew in March 2020 for BLS and ACLS. I took my ABIM recertification exam in 2018 so am board certified until 2028.
I have seen all the usual cases and many unusual cases due to my location in NE Ohio. I prefer not to work where my family receives care.
