Overview of Dr. Yagnik

Gautam P. Yagnik, M.D., is a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow and knee.
Dr. Yagnik directs Miami Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Institute's new location at the West Baptist Kendall Hospital. He is appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Florida International University College of Medicine.

He previously served as Assistant Team Physician for the University Miami and Florida International University. He now serves as Team Physician for the NHL's Florida Panthers and the Miami Dolphins.

Dr. Yagnik earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh, where he graduated at the top of his class and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. During medical school, he performed surgical research that yielded two prestigious grants from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Dr. Yagnik completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. At Penn, he was elected administrative chief resident and was given the Willard Award for the most outstanding resident. Dr. Yagnik completed his sports medicine fellowship at the UHZ Sports Medicine Institute at Doctors Hospital in Coral Gables, FL.
