Summary
- I am Chair and Chief of Radiology. I also serve as Professor and System Chief of Vascular Interventional Radiology at Temple University, Fox Chase Cancer Center and Jeanes Hospitals.
During my time as Chair we have grown our 2 residencies into a successful Diagnostic and Interventional Residencies. My focus is on improving the quality of our faculty’s professional life while improving patient care and services to our underserved and impoverished patient populations. In my short time I have been Chair I have restructured our faculty staffing to maximize subspecialty services, improve resident training, and achieve satisfaction of faculty. I have worked as Co-Chair of PACS replacement with IT to replace our archaic PACS system with a state of the art PACS and a new PS 360. My skills include Epic Integration, AARAD, Capital processes, faculty development, budget and running of radiology department including all operational facets. I also work to enhance our department’s scholarly activities, teaching and mentoring. I have Co-chaired a Radiology- GE alliance that to date has allowed replacement of nearly 30 mill. of Capital Equipment.
I support professional wellness, and faculty development.
Regarding Interventional Radiology: I have great experience in all facets of liver care, interventional oncology including Theraspheres, Sirts, Microwave and cryoablation, DebTace, etc. I perform portal vein embolizations, BRTO and TIPS. Also I am interested in uterine artery embolizations, peripheral vascular disease, and all facets of venous therapy. I am active in pain management as well as including discectomy and discography.
I am skilled at consulting for IR practices and administering IR departments and have completed Temple Leadership Academy.
