Summary
- Dr. Suchy is Professor of Pediatrics and Chief Research Officer, Director, The Children’s Hospital Colorado Research Institute, and Associate Dean for Child Health Research, University of Colorado School of Medicine, Denver. There he is responsible for overseeing a large and well-funded pediatric research enterprise. Between 1988-1996 he was Professor of Pediatrics and Cellular and Molecular Physiology at Yale University School of Medicine and Chief of the Pediatric Gastroenterology/Hepatology Section. Dr Suchy was the Herbert H. Lehman Professor of Pediatrics and Chairman, Department of Pediatrics, Mount Sinai School of Medicine (1996-2009). His clinical and research interests focus on pediatric liver disease including the role of nuclear receptors in regulating bile acid homeostasis in health and disease. He has been funded continuously by the NIH for over 30 years. Dr. Suchy is a member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation and the Association of American Physicians.
