Summary

  • I am a board certified internist, currently practicing hospitalist medicine at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
I was born in Mankon, Bamenda in West Cameroon, formerly British Southern Cameroons. After graduating from High School in CCAST Bambili I was granted scholarship by the Cameroon Government of Ahmadu Ahidjo to study in West Germany, where I studied the German language and preliminary university studies at the University of Cologne in North Rhine Westfalia. From there I proceeded to study preclinical medical studies at the medical faculty of Heinrich Heine University of Duesselldorf. I then pursued clinical medical studies at the Medical Faculty of the University of Cologne, graduating with the MD degree in 1988, after passing all required 3 components of the German federal medical state exams.
I returned to my home country of birth in 1989 and was graciously employed and practiced with American missionary doctors at BBH and MBH hospitals and affiliated health care clinics, including in Bamenda and Yaoundé, the capital.
One of the missionary doctors, Dennis Palmer, DO, from Buffalo, MO, helped me to pursue further training in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease at the University of Missouri in Kansas City school of medicine and affiliated hospitals.
Following my training for family, moral and economic reasons I remained in the USA to raise my young family of 5. I completed the legal immigration process and naturalized in June 2011.
I have passed the 10 years ABIM board exam in internal medicine three times and in Infectious Disease once.
I was clinical director of the STD clinic in Kansas City, MO Health Department for 3 years, lead physician of the VA hospital ER/Triage department in Marion, IL x 3 years, worked as Professor, assistant of clinical medicine with the University of MO in Columbia, practiced traditional Internal Medicine for 7 years, moonlighted in several hospitals and now settled in Hospitalist medicine since 2016
