- Dr. Frank Ragukonis is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He holds dual board certifications in Adult as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He holds a full active medical license in Georgia and is a member of the Georgia Council on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame with a major in Preprofessional Studies and a minor in Science, Technology, and Values. He was commissioned as an Army officer prior to medical school and received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his General Adult Psychiatry Internship and Residency at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in Hawaii where he was selected as the Chief Academic Resident. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at TAMC where he served as Chief Fellow. After completing his training, Dr. Ragukonis became a staff Adult and Child Psychiatrist at TAMC. He was later stationed at Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield near Savannah, Georgia where he worked in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Dr. Ragukonis served as both the Chief of Psychiatry and the Chief of the Child and Family Behavioral Health Service at Winn Army Community Hospital. Later he served as the Third Infantry Division Psychiatrist, acting as the Behavioral Health Consultant to the Commanding General and aided in practice and policy improvement. He served honorably as an Army officer in the Individual Ready Reserve for 4 years and completed 11 years of active duty service. Dr. Ragukonis specializes in diagnostic assessments, medication management, and psychotherapy for ages 3 and above. He believes in comprehensive care that extends beyond medication use and is a proponent of incorporating family, academic, and social support. He has maintained expertise in treating both pediatric and adult patients.
