He received his medical degree from The School of Medicine at Stony Brook University Medical Center in Stony Brook, NY. Dr. Aversano has a diverse background and actually began his medical career as a physical therapist. He worked with patients for 10 years at the Rye Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation in Rye, NY.
Dr. Aversano is an active member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Surgeons. He is a dedicated physician educator and has been honored three years in a row (2014-2017) as the Resident Teacher of the Year at Nassau University Medical Center’s Department of General Surgery.
