  • Dr. Frank Conidi is a Boston trained (see below) board certified sports neurologist/headache specialist. He is the Director of the Florida Center for Headache and Sports Neurology a tertiary center dedicated to the treatment of patients with chronic/refractory headache disorders and sports related concussion and sports related neurological disorders. The center receives referrals from all over Florida and the United States. We are currently one of the centers evaluating retired NFL players for signs of Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease and ALS. Dr. Conidi is a nationally recognized expert on sports concussion and the team neurologist for the NHL’s Florida Panthers and has served as a consulting neurologist for the NFL NFL/PA, USTA and MLB. He is a founding member and the immediate Vice Chair of the (AAN) Sports Neurology Section and co-author of the AAN’s position statement on concussion in sports. He is also co-chair of the Florida High School Athletic Association Concussion Committee, serves as a consultant for the (FDA), Radiological and Diagnostic Device Division for Sports Concussion and TBI and is the immediate past president of the Florida Society of Neurology and chair of the legislative committee where he was involved in the passage of sports concussion legislation in Florida. Dr. Conidi is currently developing and participating in clinical trials for sports concussion and headache and is the founder and chair of The Seeing Stars Foundation (www.seeingstarsfoundation.org), a 501c3 charity dedicated to funding research and education for sports related concussion and sports related neurological issues. He is also on the editorial board for a number of medical journals and has published extensively on sports concussion and headache.
