Summary
- Dr. Forrest Foster is board certified in both General Neurology as well as Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry. His expertise lies in working with both the general population and those with intellectual and developmental disabilities in managing conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, Lewy Body disease, Frontotemporal dementias, and other conditions leading to cognitive change. He also has unique skills in using neuropsychological testing as a tool in longitudinal clinical management of cognitive diseases. He also has built methods of leveraging technology to develop new systems of medical care. He has a special interest in helping those with Down Syndrome who are experiencing cognitive changes.
Although he feels medicine is his life’s calling, Dr. Foster has robust experience in a broad range of sectors outside of medicine. His leadership roles and work experience started in his early teens and he has lived, worked, and volunteered all over the United States as well as internationally. The depth and extensive variety of his experiences make it easy for him to not only adapt to any situation, but improve upon that situation for everyone; this also helps him identify and improve upon systems at all levels. Most importantly, his experience has deepened his understanding of people from all walks of life which greatly adds to his talent to empathize with his patients as well as with those with whom he works with and leads. This gives him the ability to make a significant impact in understanding and helping those around him with their needs.
Previously, he was affiliated with medical facilities such as Southern Ohio Medical Center, Remo Health, UC Health West Chester, and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Dr. Foster resides in Mason, Ohio, with his wife and children. He considers himself an amateur philosopher, poet, inventor, and songwriter, and he loves singing, acting, running, and enjoying anything and everything outdoors.
