Dr. F. Ames Smith Jr is a board certified general and breast cancer surgeon with an office in Boise, ID. He specializes in hereditary cancer screening and management which is now the exclusive focus of his practice. Dr. Smith received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine, and did his surgical training at Baylor College of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals in Houston. His surgical practice began in 1990, first in Austin, then in Seattle, and finally in Idaho. His passion is in helping to manage women and men with high risk (especially genetic risk) for cancer.
