Dr. F. Otis Stephen is a gastroenterologist based in Los Angeles, CA, with subspecialty expertise in advanced endoscopic interventional techniques. He completed his internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins University and a gastroenterology fellowship at SSM Health/Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He currently serves as the Director of the Small Bowel Endoscopy Program at UCLA. Dr. Stephen is experienced in the management of small intestinal mucosal diseases, Double-Balloon enteroscopy, management of obscure GI bleeding, endoscopic therapy of small bowel Crohn’s disease, and management of general gastrointestinal disorders. His research includes assessment of small bowel imaging techniques, medical therapy for non-IBD small bowel ulcerative diseases, and factors to maximize small bowel intestine endoscopic access.
