He is actively involved in teaching medical school students, residents and practicing physicians. He is a lecturer for the surgery, family medicine and internal medicine residents at the Mt. Carmel and OhioHealth Hospital system. He was an attending in the Otolaryngology clinic, the Craniofacial clinic and the Cystic Fibrosis clinic at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, assisting in the care of children with ENT problems associated with these conditions. Dr. Tobin precepts Ohio University medical students and residents in his private office. He has been recognized by the Best Doctors organization, and picked as a Top Regional Doc by the Castle Connolly Medical group for many consecutive years. He has been the co-author of five medical textbook chapters including the Textbook of Family Practice by Rakel and Cumming’s Text of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. The majority of Dr. Tobin’s professional time is spent in private practice in Columbus and Newark, Ohio, seeing both adults and children with disorders of the ear, nose and throat, with a special interest in pediatric ENT, sinus disease, overlapping dental and ENT pathology, and sleep disorders.
