Summary
- Dr. Lit graduated Cum Laude from Harvard Medical School after graduating with Honors from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), majoring in molecular biology and minoring in organic chemistry. He went on to receive his Ophthalmology residency and retina training at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School, where he also served as the Director of Eye Trauma and was an Associate Chief of Ophthalmology. He is Board-certified in Ophthalmology, has lectured and taught at the University of California, San Francisco, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. In addition to publishing numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles, Dr. Lit has also authored and edited various medical textbook chapters and journals. His current research interests include clinical trials of new intravitreal drugs for macular degeneration, surgical treatment of retinal diseases, age-related macular degeneration, as well as novel treatments for retinal vascular disease and diabetic retinopathy.
