Summary

• Dr. Eugene Cherny is a board certified plastic surgeon in Des Moines, IA and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area. However, he is in private independent practice which allows him to make decisions in his patient's best interests. Heartland has its own ambulatory surgery center, so the practice is self contained for maximal discretion and privacy. Dr. Cherny received his medical degree from Rush Medical College and has been in practice over 30 years. He specializes in aesthetic/cosmetic plastic surgery of the body and face. He is current with the most updated techiques through frequent attendance at conferences by the Aesthetic Society and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Cherny is a Professor of Surgery at Des Moines University and a Site Coordinator for plastic surgery resident education at the University of Iowa. He was appointed last spring to the Iowa Board of Medicine by Governor Kim Reynolds.
